Bizzy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bizzy (“Bizzy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Bizzy’s website, messaging assistant, and related services (the “Services”), including at bizzy.chat.

1. Overview

Bizzy is an iMessage-first personal assistant. You create an account with your phone number, message Bizzy over iMessage, and may optionally connect Google so Bizzy can help with calendar scheduling and guest lookup.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories.

Account information

When you sign up or sign in, we collect your phone number and one-time verification codes. After verification, we collect your name. We also store session information such as session tokens and, when available, IP address and browser user agent.

Messages and assistant activity

When you text Bizzy, we receive and store the content of those messages, delivery metadata (such as timestamps and message identifiers from our messaging provider), and Bizzy’s replies. We process message content to understand your requests and provide responses.

Profile preferences

We store preferences you set in Bizzy, such as your timezone and working hours, so we can interpret relative times and availability correctly.

Google connection data

If you connect Google, we collect information needed to maintain that connection and provide Google-powered features, including:

  • Your Google account subject identifier and display email
  • OAuth tokens and granted scopes (refresh credentials are stored encrypted)
  • Calendar information from calendars you include in Bizzy, such as event titles, times, locations, descriptions, attendees, and related metadata, so Bizzy can check availability, list events, and create or update events you confirm. Bizzy deletes events you confirm only when Event deletion is on for that Google Connection.
  • Contact name and email matches from Google Contacts and Other Contacts when you ask Bizzy to invite someone by name
  • Your Included Calendar, Default Calendar, and Event deletion selections on the Google integration settings page

Google is an optional integration, not a Bizzy login method. You can disconnect Google from Bizzy settings at any time.

Technical and operational data

We collect logs and operational records needed to run the Services securely and reliably, such as authentication events, rate-limit counters, webhook delivery records, and error diagnostics.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and authenticate your Bizzy account
  • Send verification codes and operate iMessage conversations
  • Provide assistant responses and carry out requests you confirm
  • Power optional Google features such as availability checks, event management, and people search
  • Remember your profile preferences
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
  • Improve the Services and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Google user data for advertising.

4. Google user data and Limited Use

Bizzy’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, Google user data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in Bizzy, such as calendar availability, schedule management, and resolving guest emails. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to service providers needed to operate those features, for security, to comply with law, or with your direction. We do not use Google user data for serving ads, and we do not allow humans to read Google user data unless you give affirmative consent for specific data, it is necessary for security or legal compliance, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations consistent with applicable law.

5. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate Bizzy, only as needed to provide the Services:

  • Messaging providers (currently Linq) to deliver iMessage conversations and verification codes
  • Google, when you connect a Google account, to access the APIs you authorize
  • AI model providers (via our AI infrastructure) to generate assistant replies from your messages and relevant context
  • Hosting, database, and infrastructure providers that store and process Service data

These providers may process information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to applicable protections.

6. Retention

We retain account, message, profile, and integration data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce our policies, and meet legal requirements. Verification codes are short-lived. If you disconnect Google, we stop using that connection for new requests and update the connection status; residual records may remain as needed for security and audit purposes until deleted.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted storage of Google refresh credentials and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
  • Disconnect Google from Bizzy settings
  • Sign out of active web sessions
  • Request account deletion

To make a privacy request, email privacy@bizzy.chat. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming control of your phone number) before fulfilling a request.

9. Children

Bizzy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International processing

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Services.
